THE VICTORIAN ON MAIN – “GUESS HOW MANY CHRISTMAS TREES” CONTEST

1. Sponsor
The contest is sponsored by The Victorian on Main, Fairfield, Illinois (“Sponsor”).

2. Eligibility
The contest is open to permanent legal residents of the United States who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of the Sponsor and their household or immediate family members are not eligible. Void where prohibited.

3. Contest Period
The contest begins December 7, 2025 at 1:00 PM CST and ends December 20, 2025 at 7:00 PM CST, or earlier if the exact correct number is guessed.

4. How to Enter
Participants may enter in one of two ways:

A. In-Person Entry:
Visit The Victorian on Main between 1:00–7:00 PM CST, December 7–20, 2025. Submit one (1) guess of the total number of Christmas trees displayed inside the Inn. Entries will be placed in the order they are received.

B. Email Entry:
Email your guess to vichousekathy@gmail.com with the subject line “Tree Guess Contest Entry.” Include your full name, phone number, and one numerical guess.

Limit one entry per person, regardless of method. Duplicate entries will be disqualified.
Only actual Christmas trees count — photographs, illustrations, or printed images do not count.

5. Determining the Winner
The winner will be the entrant who correctly guesses the total number of Christmas trees displayed.
If no entrant guesses correctly, the winner will be the entrant whose guess is closest (above or below).

Tie-Breaker Rule:
If multiple entrants submit the same correct or closest guess, the winner will be:
• The entrant whose in-person entry was received earliest, as determined by the Sponsor’s physical entry order; OR
• The entrant whose email entry has the earliest timestamp.

The Sponsor’s determination is final.

6. Prize
One (1) winner will receive a voucher for one (1) free night’s stay for the winner and one (1) guest in The Squirrel’s Nest at The Victorian on Main.

Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $189 per night.

Voucher details:
• No cash value
• Non-transferable
• Must be redeemed by December 31, 2026
• Subject to room availability

Winner is responsible for all additional costs, including taxes, meals, transportation, and incidentals.

7. Winner Notification
Winner will be notified in person or via email using the information provided. If the winner does not respond within 7 days, an alternate may be selected.

8. Publicity Release
By entering, participants grant Sponsor permission to use their name, city, and submitted entry for promotional purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

9. Liability Release
Participants release and hold harmless The Victorian on Main, its owners, employees, and agents from any liability, injury, loss, or damage arising from participation or prize acceptance. Visitors assume all risks associated with entering the property.

10. Privacy Policy
Personal information will be used only to administer the contest and notify the winner. Sponsor does not sell or share participant information.

11. Right to Modify or Cancel
Sponsor may suspend, modify, or cancel the contest if fraud, technical issues, or other factors impair its integrity or fairness.

12. Governing Law
This contest is governed by Illinois law.
