Gracious Authenticity
"My wife and I stayed at The Victorian on Main on two successive nights last month. Our stay at the Victorian was a highlight of our trip and will stand as memorable among our positive travel experiences. One of several stately late 19th, early 20th century residences in Fairfield, 209 W. Main is being painstakingly restored and thoughtfully complemented with high quality contemporary accoutrements. Guests need not be collectors or history buffs to appreciate the quality and charm that surround one in every corner of every room: beautifully bound books and a pedal organ in the parlor, chandeliers and sconces, the magnificent table, chairs, and sideboards in the main dining room. Nothing strikes one as veneered or artificially preserved. A career lit teacher, I relished the three Delft style portrait plates gracing one wall in our chamber: Robert Burns on one side, Charles Dickens circled by memorable characters from his novels on the other, and, of course, William Shakespeare centered and hovering over both."

Beautiful Victorian Bed & Breakfast
"From the start Kathy the innkeeper is so sweet and welcoming. The entire home is beautifully restored, you must see to believe the craftsmanship that went into the restoration.The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Kathy's gourmet breakfasts are amazing. Definitely a beautiful and well thought out bed and breakfast experience!"

Cannot Say Enough Good Things
"Where do I begin as I can not say enough good things about The Victorian On Main!!
We stayed in the beautiful cozy “Lily’s Hideaway” and slept quite comfortably and enjoyed a full bathroom right off the bedroom. We enjoyed great WI-FI and TV reception, nicely cooled air conditioning, spacious shower with great water pressure. Our bedroom was quiet and had two small windows that let in just the right amount of early morning sunlight.
We both anxiously awaited Kathy’s home made delicious breakfasts which included fresh squeezed orange juice and/or assortment of squeezed fruits, banana nut bread, pistachio cookie nuggets, omelettes filled with ricotta cheese and mushrooms, warm spinach breakfast casserole with squash, Greek yogurt and various fresh fruits and granola, and many other delightful home cooked items. Kathy is a very experienced exceptional cook and she thoroughly loves making her specialties and sharing them with her guests and it shows."
